1. Respect your team, make them shine
Our team is what makes us different. Each role is important, no matter the level, no matter the position. We each strive to make the team excel.
2. Innovate and embrace change
What has worked in the past may not work today. It's everyone's role to innovate, and when we see what works, to adopt it quickly for clients and the agency.
3. Enjoy what you do, don't take yourself too seriously
We express ourselves through our work. This is what we love to do. We excel at it, and become better each day. It should be fun. Sometimes it'll be hard but we enjoy the challenge. Sometimes it won't work, but we learn from our setbacks. We're not a firm of prima donnas. It's not about me, it's about us.
4. Believe in your creativity, be bold and act on it
We celebrate creativity. We're not afraid to suggest ideas, and when we have a good idea, we are bold in helping it grow into reality. Every good idea involves risk. If we're not pushing the boundaries, we're not going to have a major impact.
5. Do what's right
We do what's right, not what's easiest. We make decisions which would withstand open scrutiny. We make them based on our moral compass, our best intelligence and experience. This will often not be the cheapest, simplest or fastest solution but it will be the right one.
6. Radiate energy, enthusiasm and positivity
Energy, enthusiasm and positivity are infectious. It's why people join the agency and it's why clients select us. When we brighten the day of those around us, it lightens their load. We can't always skip to work each day, but we can bring all our energies to the task and overcome it.
7. Build no silos, brook no politics
We are each part of a global company - we're the best in the world at global communications. We never allow silos to build up within each region, or an office or a function. As a team, we have zero tolerance for petty politics. No-one will gain through self-promotion, misdirection, gossip or lies.
8. Celebrate excellence
From a public word of thanks to a full-scale celebration, we recognise excellent performance each day. We recognise the skills each of us brings to the team, and we try to emulate them. This requires self-awareness, learning, practice and perseverance. This is fundamental to our belief in celebrating excellence wherever we see it.
9. Own the outcome
Regardless of our role within each initiative we see the project through to its desired outcome. This means taking responsibility and adopting a broad perspective over the entire project and its goals. Ownership is all about the outcome, not the input.
10. Be there for others
As a team we have each other's back. We stand or fall together. More, it means trusting each other, being 'present' when working together, actively listening, giving our attention and our efforts.
